Improving Marksmanship

Overview:
This class is intended for all individuals, regardless of previous shooting experience, who possess a valid LTC and want to improve accuracy with their own handgun. This course will be conducted in a classroom and on an indoor range with live fire exercises. Participants can expect to shoot ~150 rounds focusing on the five fundamentals of shooting and gradually increasing target distances based on proficiency.

Topics:
Safe gun handling rules, common malfunctions, dominant eye identification, the two-handed grip, elements of the standing position, sight alignment & sight picture, hold control, breath control, trigger control follow-through.

Students should plan to bring the following to this course:

• Payment - Check, Money Order or Cash. Make check or money order payable to: Franklin Rod & Gun Club, Inc.
• A valid LTC
• Handgun, 150 rounds of ammunition (no hollow point, wadcutter or semi-wadcutter bullets) and a hip-holster
• Eye and Ear protection
• Note taking material
• A positive attitude
