Introduction to Pistol Shooting

Cost: $50

Duration: Three Hours

Overview:

This class is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience where students will receive an introduction to pistol shooting.  The majority of this course will be conducted in a classroom and include live fire on an indoor range. This course will not qualify participants with the credentials required to apply for a new MA LTC/FID.

Topics:

Safe gun handling, verify a firearm is ‘clear and safe’, parts of a revolver and semi-automatic pistol & how they operate, cartridge components, common malfunctions, dominant eye identification, the two-handed grip, five fundamentals of pistol shooting, and the standing position.

Students should plan to bring the following to this course:
  • Payment - Check, Money Order or Cash. Make check or money order payable to: Franklin Rod & Gun Club, Inc.
  • Note taking material
  • A positive attitude
